I offer Analytical Psychotherapy to adults. I offer both shorter-term work (often over a period of 12 weeks) and long-term open-ended therapy. I am in private practice in Moseley in south Birmingham (B13).

People come to psychotherapy for many reasons. Sometimes the end of a relationship, a bereavement or traumatic life events will lead someone to seek out support. It might be that anxiety or depression make life hard to bear, or that there are struggles around relationships, sexuality, work or family dynamics. At other times physical illness will bring someone to therapy.

Therapy provides a space for exploration of those things that are causing distress and disturbance. It allows us to pay attention to the unconscious, as it shows itself in long-established patterns of behaviour, perhaps in dreams and in the relationship between the therapist and the patient.  The process itself provides a container for healing, and it can facilitate shifts in both the inner and outer worlds.

I am a member of the West Midlands Institute of Psychotherapy (WMIP), where I completed an advanced training, and of the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC). I am fully insured to practise.  I abide by the codes of ethics of WMIP and the BPC.
